Dr. Ken Tilashalski: Radiographic Pathology Including the Grey Areas

“Reading” radiographs is essential to be able to distinguish which conditions can be ignored versus
monitored or biopsied. Oodles of clinical cases will be highlighted representing the gamut of
developmental, reactive, and neoplastic bone and tooth pathologies. Put on your thinking caps on as
your diagnostic abilities will be tested. Real world cases will frame a discussion on the differential
diagnosis process. You’ll learn clinical tidbits on how to distinguish these oral conditions and pearls to
manage your patients.
With the current COVID-19 pandemic, the significance of infection control has been heightened and will
be at the forefront of any dental practice. This course will emphasize the ways diseases are spread and
how to prevent transmission of infectious pathogens. The latest recommendations from the CDC,
OSHA, and the ADA will be presented. We will highlight what is COVID-19, why did this strike now, what
we can do, and how might the practice of dentistry change tomorrow. The concepts covered are
immediately applicable to keep our patients, ourselves, and our families safe from infectious diseases.
